I wondered if rubbish-clearing and skips would be a suitable enough subject for romance... well, it appears that something is hitting the button because my new book is flying out and yes, I'm getting excited because my agent is excited so I'm taking my cue from him. However, living in the North, there's always something to keep you on the ground. I did a talk for a ladies group last week and one of my audience caught up with me at the end. 'I hope I see you again,' she said. 'You probably will,' I replied. 'I seem to be everywhere at the moment'. 'Aye,' she said, dead-pan. 'Like dog muck. That's everywhere an' all.' Classic!
